The Midland College Chaps basketball team is scheduled to host Western Texas College in the final home game of the 2024 season. The Chaps are currently 18-9 this season, including 7-6 in conference (5th place) and a half game behind New Mexico Junior College for the final spot in the upcoming NJCAA Region 5 Tournament in Weatherford.
MC earned a much-needed win on the road at New Mexico Military Institute on Monday and need to pick up a couple important wins in the final three regular season contests, including road trips to Clarendon and South Plains.
Thursday's game will be the final home games in the Midland College careers of nine members of the Midland College men's basketball team. Sophomores: Bryce Moore, Rich Martelly, Jarren Cook, Leon Williams, Curtis Harrison, Will Young, Bryceson Burns, Emilis Butkus and Luke Davis will each be recognized in a short ceremony immediately preceding the WTC-MC men's basketball game.
